Securely store and transfer your assets

Type

Blockchain, Web3

Scope

Desktop & Mobile Design

Year

2021-2023

Objective

Problem

To design a desktop application that integrates a proprietary hardware cold wallet, enabling users to securely send, transfer, and store cryptocurrency assets such as NFTs and currencies. The application must be intuitive, allowing users to seamlessly set up their hardware device, which is the primary objective of the product.

Challenges

Designing for users aged 30 to 50 presents challenges such as varying tech-savviness, potential visual impairments, and a preference for straightforward functionality. To address these, the design should emphasize simplicity with clear labels, larger touch targets, and legible fonts. Conducting user testing with this demographic will provide valuable insights to ensure the design is intuitive and accessible.

Roles & Responsibilities

I was appointed as the lead designer for the project, where I collaborated with my design team to develop the UI/UX design for both the desktop and mobile applications. I took responsibility for clarifying the user journey and creating the initial wireframes to ensure alignment with business requirements, while my team proposed and refined the designs to align with the client's branding. Throughout this process, I worked closely with the technical teams on both sides to successfully bring the product to fruition.

About the app

State-of-the-art cold wallet for Web3 assets. Secure, intuitive, and accessible, this Windows and Mac and mobile application ensures your digital investments are protected and easily managed.

Despite facing challenges in unfamiliar domain knowledge and user journey and flow planning, we have created a robust solution that caters to both beginners and experienced users in the crypto space

Ensuring a Fluid User Experience

A proper information architecture map and user flow enabled all involved stakeholders to paint a clear image of how the app would work and enable the user to achieve their task while business needs are met.

Ideation & Prototyping

To ensure optimal usability, a low-fidelity wireframe is utilized to represent the core user flow during the initial phase of the project. Tests and demonstrations were conducted to identify and address potential usability issues prior to the finalization of the user interface.
